Dame Shirley Bassey has emergency surgery
The singer is recovering from a stomach operation
Dame Shirley Bassey is recovering from an emergency stomach operation in Monaco, after she was admitted to hospital with abdominal pains last week (beginning May 19).
No further details of the ailment Bassey suffered from have been released, although a spokesperson for the singer said that she was recovering well.
"[She is] making a good recovery and doctors are happy with her progress," the spokesperson told BBC News.
