All North American dates are cancelled

Shitdisco have cancelled their North American tour after bassist/vocalist Joel Stone was rushed to hospital on Sunday with a mysterious illness.

Stone became violently ill and was taken to hospital where he remained overnight for tests. He was discharged on Monday, but on Tuesday was taken back to hospital with the same symptoms.

A bulletin on the band’s MySpace page goes on to say:

"This has happened before and every time the doctors have been unable to pin down the cause. In the past, it has been written off as nervous exhaustion, but this time the doctors think there might be something else and they're trying to figure it out. He has been moved to another hospital and today underwent exploratory surgery."

The band have cancelled their forthcoming North American dates. The tour was scheduled to begin on Friday night in Los Angeles and included a number of dates with Klaxons.
