'Line up is amazing' declares DJ of O2 Arena show

If The Cribs, Klaxons, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and this year’s Godlike Geniuses Manic Street Preachers wasn’t already impressive enough, the Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig has gone up another notch.

Zane Lowe has signed up to host and DJ at the show, which takes place at the O2 Arena on February 28, immediately after this year’s ceremony.

“I'm really excited to be a part of the first Big Gig. The line-up’s amazing and I'm looking forward to playing some records in the big room,” declared Lowe.

“The NME Awards season feels like the unofficial start to the year in new music.”

“It’s going to be the ultimate indie party, so there is no one else would you want on the decks other than Zane,” added NME editor Conor McNicholas. “He’s Britain’s best indie DJ so together with the bands playing it’s going to be an incredible night.”
