Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig tickets on sale now

Tickets for the 2009 Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig, headlined by The Cure, have gone on sale this morning (November 5) exclusively through NME.COM.

The Cure will celebrate being crowned NME Godlike Geniuses by headlining the annual show at the O2 Arena in London.

The Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig 2009 takes place at the venue on February 26.

As with last year - which saw Godlike Geniuses Manic Street Preachers headline, with Kaiser Chiefs, Klaxons, Bloc Party, The Cribs and Johnny Marr also playing – this year's show will also feature a full bill, which is to be announced soon.

Ooo The Cure! I love them. I really don't know what all the fuss about Crystal Castles are, I just looked on youtube and found a live clip of them playing Crimewave and it was really crap! Alice Glass is such a weak singer.

but with that type of music a good voice would just sound so silly. It gives the music more character.

I'm sure Cure will be great !!! I think there is a plenty of quality there to travel !
