Shockwaves NME Awards Tour 2009 line-up and dates on the way

The line-up and dates for the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour 2009 will be announced on NME.COM tomorrow (November 11) at 10am (GMT).

The tour has a reputation for helping to launch the careers of new bands, with the likes of The Ting Tings, Franz Ferdinand (pictured), Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party having appeared on the bill in previous years.

Meanwhile, it was previously announced that on February 26 The Cure will headline the NME Big Gig 2009. The show will be the day after the Shockwaves NME Awards 2009 take place at the London Brixton Academy.

Vampire Weekend, Metronomy,Bombay Bicycle ClubCheeky Cheeky and The Nosebleedsothers that would work well, Friendly Fires instead of Metronomy and Flashguns instead of Cheeky Cheeky.Obviously you can't have them all, so just 4 please, Bombay MUST be included.
