Oasis, The Killers, Pete Doherty, MGMT and Muse were among the big winners at tonight's (February 25) Shockwaves NME Awards, held at the O2 Academy Brixton.

Oasis were crowned Best British Band, while guitarist Noel Gallagher upped the Manchester legends' overall tally to two by winning the Best Band Blog gong.

It was Muse, however, who took home the most awards on the night. The rockers won the Best Live Band and Best Album Artwork (for 'HAARP'), while frontman Matt Bellamy was awarded the coveted Sexiest Male honour.
