Sia previews new album at sold-out LA show

Zero 7 vocalist shows of surreal costumes

Sia previews new album at sold-out LA show
Sia previewed several new songs from her forthcoming album during her sold-out show at the Los Angeles El Rey Theatre last night (October 24).

The part-time Zero 7 vocalist and her backing band took the stage dressed in neon paper doll costumes that glowed under a black light, creating a surreal effect for the song 'Little Black Sandals'.

The band soon removed the costumes and breezed through tracks from the forthcoming album 'Some People Have Real Problems', including 'Lentil', 'Day Too Soon' and 'The Girl You Lost To Cocaine'.

"How is everyone? Does anyone need anything?" the singer asked the packed house. "How about a beer?"

The audience hollered and cheered during Sia's impressive vocal gymnastics - especially during the Zero 7 crowd-pleaser 'Destiny'.

Sia bantered back and forth with the audience throughout the night, and had extended conversations with friends in the front row.

"I hope you don't think to yourselves, 'This is the one I came for so we can all fuck off now'," she quipped before launching into her hit single 'Breathe Me'.

Sia played:

'Buttons'
'Little Black Sandals'
'Lentil'
'Day Too soon'
'Sunday'
'Destiny'
'Breathe Me'
'The Girl You Lost To Cocaine'
'You Have Been Loved'
'Academia'
'Electric Bird'
'The Co-Dependant'
'Distractions'

Sia will continue to tour the US in support of the new album, which is due out in the US on January 8, as previously reported.
