ICE COOL!

Hey, at least it's got a title...

Sigur Ros will release the 20-minute instrumental track 'BABATIKIDIDO' next month.

The piece, written for the US choreographer Merce Cunningham's Dance Company's 50th gala performance, will be released on July 12.

The EP was originally performed alongside a similarly commissioned piece by Radiohead in New York last October. The pieces formed part of the improvised 'Split Sides' ballet.

The piece recently spent two weeks at the top of the iTunes download chart, and will also be available as a one sided 7", with an etching by Merce Cunningham on the reverse.

The band are currently in Iceland working on their fourth album, which is due for release in the new year.
