SIGUR ROS REVEAL ALL ABOUT RETURN

Maybe it will have a name this time...

Sigur Ros are aiming to release their new album in September.

The album, the follow-up to ’()’, will be preceded by an online single in August, according to the band’s official website.

A statement reads: “It contains 11 tracks (not 10 as previously reported), amounting to 65 minutes of music. The songs called 'Gong' and 'Mílanó' are the only songs on the album which we have heard at concerts before.

”The album is still nameless and the track titles are currently unknown to us. The album's release date is tentatively aimed for September but there will be an online mp3 release of the first single in August. Most of the album's vocals are sung in Icelandic.”

The band are in the UK this week for a tour. For ticket availability, go to NME Tickets or call them on 0870 1 663 663.
