Sigur Ros rubbish 'Vanilla Sky'

Icelandic band strip down at Electric Proms

Sigur Ros rubbish 'Vanilla Sky'

Sigur Ros rubbished 'Vanilla Sky' after their intimate gig at the 2007 BBC Electric Proms tonight (October 24).

The incident happened during a question and answer session following the screening of their concert film 'Heima'.

When asked what the band thought of the Tom Cruise film 'Vanilla Sky' – which featured the group's track 'Untitled #4'- keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson said it was “a crap film”.

Earlier, the band played a 45-minute acoustic set in the English Folk Dance & Song Society in London.

They were joined by the all-female string quartet Amiina for 'Samskeyti'.

Singer Jonsi Birgisson said: “These are our friends Amiina, they help us play. Thanks.”

They played:

'Agaetis Byrjun'
'Heima'
'Njosnavelin'
'Heysatan'
'Samskeyti'
'Vaka'
'Von'
'Staralfur'

The 2007 BBC Electric Proms will continue with further performances at KOKO from The Chemical Brothers and Tim Burgess.
