First headliners announced alongside Palma Violets, Daughter and more

Belle And Sebastian and Sigur Ros to headline End of the Road 2013
Sigur Ros and Belle & Sebastian have been confirmed as the first headline acts for next year's End Of The Road festival.

Both acts were unveiled as headliners by festival organisers in a promotional video which you can see below. The video also reveals that Palma Violets, Daughter, Angel Olsen, Damien Jurado, The Barr Brothers, Pokey Lafarge and Serafina Steer will perform. The festival takes place in Larmer Tree Gardens, North Dorset from August 30 to September 1 2013.

Earlier this year the organisers of End Of The Road Festival have denied that the festival has an official link with the Church Of Scientology. The festival issued a statement which admitted that though two of its directors are members of the Church Of Scientology, the festival itself has no formal link with the organisation.

They told the Guardian: "There have been suggestions on forums that End of the Road Festival may have some connection to the Church of Scientology. This arose after the eFestivals founder was sent an anonymous letter. It’s quite likely that the same person sent similar letters to the music and general press. Two of the directors are scientologists. The remaining directors and management are not."

The 2012 End Of The Road festival was headlined by Grizzly Bear, Beach House and Grandaddy with performances also coming from Alabama Shakes, Midlake and Villagers.
