Arctic Monkeys producer confirms one-off show
Simian Mobile Disco have announced a new London date for later this year.
The band – made up of Arctic Monkeys’ producer James Ford and Jas Shaw – will play the London Scala on September 27.
The pair explained they wanted to stage the gig in a club setting so fans could enjoy their music as they intended it.
“We want the music to be heard in the environment that inspired it – a loud PA, early in the morning, in a sweaty club,” said Shaw. “We want the live show to allow us to improvise and mess with the tracks.”

Meanwhile the duo are set to release their new album ‘Attack Decay Sustain Release’ next week (June 18).
