Crystal Castles, Justice ring in Halloween in LA
Simian Mobile Disco also rave it up at Hard Haunted Mansion
A costume-clad crowd danced into the wee hours of the morning with numerous bands and DJs spread across four stages at the Shrine Expo Hall.
Crystal Castles packed the Trick Or Treat Stage with a frenetic set that saw frontwoman Alice Glass writhing on her back and crawling on all fours.
During her eponymous song 'Alice Practice', Glass turned a giant strobe light onto the crowd.
Her bandmate Ethan Kath was reserved in comparison, staying behind his dj booth as he provided most of the backing for tracks including 'Untrust Us', 'Courtship Dating' and 'Crimewave'. The duo were also accompanied by a live drummer.
At the end of their set, Glass threw herself into the crowd for several minutes before returning to the stage and trashing the drum kit.
Justice rounded out the night with a DJ set that lasted more than two hours and drew a massive crowd.
The French duo even offered up an epic version of their Simian mash-up 'We Are Your Friends' on the same stage where James Ford's band Simian Mobile Disco had performed just a couple of hours earlier.
