Simple Kid wants fans in next video

Simple Kid is giving fans the opportunity to star in the video for his forthcoming single ‘The TwentySomething’.

In a message posted on his official Myspace page, the UK-based Irish musician wants fans to get in touch with their inner karaoke and film themselves singing their own version of the track.

According to the bulletin, “videos will be judged using a highly sophisticated logarithm based on how much it makes Simp laugh, cry, cringe or swoon. The best ones will be edited together into one ’TwentySomething ’ video. It'll be like ’The X-Factor’, ‘The Gong Show’ and ‘Opportunity Knocks’ rolled into one.”

Deadline for entries is Friday April 20th.

Meanwhile, [a]Simple Kid[/b] will play the Camden Crawl in London later this month before embarking on a UK tour in May.

The dates are:

London Camden Crawl (April 19)
London The Scala (May 14)
Brighton Komedia (May 16)
Bristol thekla (17)
Nottingham The Social (18)
Newcastle Academy 2 (19)
Birmingham Bar Academy (20)
Liverpool Academy 2 (22)
Dublin The Village (23)
Glasgow Oran More (25)
Stockton Georgian Theatre (26)
