Sinead O'Connor has married for the fourth time at a private ceremony in Las Vegas.

The singer tied the knot with Barry Herridge in the back of a pink Cadillac at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the same day as her 45th birthday yesterday (December 8).

The ceremony only lasted ten minutes before the couple lit candles and employees at the church sang Happy Birthday to the bride, reports the Daily Mirror.

O'Connor said:
Myself and Barry decided to get married in Las Vegas because we wanted a proper rock 'n' roll wedding.

She added: "I've been married before, but I've never had my dream wedding in Vegas. I wanted to do it there because it's casual, quick, not religious and, most of all, very romantic."

The announcement of her wedding comes just four months after the singer infamously posted a blog on her website bemoaning the "dire" state of her sex life and setting out what she was looking for in a man.

She wrote: "He must be no younger than 44. Has to be employed. Am not fussy in what capacity generally but vehicle clampers need not apply. No hair dye."

O'Connor has been married three times before - to producer John Reynolds, journalist Nicholas Sommerlad and to Steve Cooney, whom she divorced earlier this year.
