As well as Skrillex, the Virgin Mobile FreeFest also saw sets from Jack White and M83.
Skrillex has been turned into a computer-animated character for an upcoming Disney film called Wreck-It Ralph.
The electronic producer and DJ landed his cameo role after signing up to provide songs for the soundtrack. Wreck-It Ralph follows the behind-the-scenes lives of characters from old school video games, including Pac-Man and Sonic The Hedgehog.
In an interview with Total Film, the movie's producer Clark Spencer explained how Skrillex came to appear in the film. He said: "We asked him if we could do it. We went to him first and said, 'Hey, we have this party scene... and we have a DJ and we think it would make a nice cameo if we put you into it.' And he was ecstatic."
The film is scheduled for release on November 2.
