Skrillex momentarily set fire to his own hair while blowing out the candles on his birthday cake this week.

The dubstep producer turned 25 on Tuesday (January 15) and was at a party to celebrate when the incident took place. Bending over his DJ decks to blow out the candles, TMZ reports that he took so long to extinguish the flames that someone is heard asking "are they trick candles?" In the meantime, Skrillex's hair dangled into the cake and catches fire. Scroll down to see video footage.

Skrillex was, however, able to limit the damage done to his hair and keep his trademark style intact. It is reported that his birthday cake was in the shape of a turntable.

Meanwhile, the producer recently claimed that he has "too many songs to even know what to do with". The producer said that he had an excess of new material and was "more excited than ever to make music again. I just always make music anyway... But I want to make a record. I just haven't had enough time to really sit down and idle myself and clear my mind and go, 'OK, what's the next thing I want to say? How's it different from what I said before?'"
