Super-producers Diplo and Skrillex have announced that they will be collaborating on a new project called Jack U.

The news came when Diplo announced the lineup for his infamous Mad Decent Block Parties this week, which featured the act Jack U. Taking to Twitter, Diplo wrote: "Jack U... Means Skrillex + Diplo together.." At the moment, the duo's only confirmed performance is at the Mad Decent Block Party in San Diego on September 15.

As MTV reports, the pair have worked together before setting up the YouTube channel POTATO with A-Trak. POTATO was set up as a platform for video and audio premieres, as well as other content from each of the artists' respective record labels OWSLA, Mad Decent and Fool's Gold.

Skrillex is set to headline this years' Sonar festival in Spain. He will appear at the event on June 14, following Kraftwerk's 3D show. The festival will also see appearances from Pet Shop Boys, Two Door Cinema Club, Liars, Gold Panda and Nicolas Jaar. For more information on the line-up and ticketing, visit Sonar.es.

Diplo's Major Lazer, meanwhile, released their second album, 'Free The Universe', last month (April 15). The album features guest appearances from Haim, Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors, Wyclef Jean and Shaggy. Diplo is also working on a reggae album with Snoop Dogg.
