Sky Ferreira and DIIV frontman Zachary Cole Smith will perform together at an Elliott Smith tribute concert in New York later this month.

The couple will appear on a star-studded line-up at Glasslands in Brooklyn on October 21 alongside Cat Power, The Low Anthem, former Chairlift member Aaron Pfenning and Speedy Ortiz singer Sadie Dupuis. Marissa Nadler, Yoni Wolf and Luke Temple will also perform in memory of the late singer-songwriter, who died in 2003.

The gig will mark a decade since Smith took his own life. Pitchfork reports that proceeds from the show will go to the Elliott Smith Memorial Fund, which benefits two youth-oriented charities: Portland's Outside In and Free Arts for Abused Children.

Sky Ferreira and Zachary Cole Smith were arrested in New York on September 13 after being found in possession of heroin and ecstasy. The pair were driving through the city when police reportedly pulled the car over after seeing the driver commit a number of infractions. Police reports from the arrest reveal that upon pulling the pair over, they discovered Smith had a "plastic bag containing 42 decks of heroin" on him while Ferreira "was found in possession of ecstasy and resisted arrest".

Speaking about the incident for the first time, Ferreira recently said that she is not a drug addict and suggested that the police were intentionally targeting her and Smith, stating: "I kind of got fucked with."

Ferreira is due to release her new album 'Night Time, My Time' in October.
