The Velvet Revolver man gets animated to perform his new single 'Kick It Up A Notch' in the Disney film, which is titled Phineas And Ferb: The Movie – Across The 2nd Dimension.

The former Guns N' Roses guitarist wrote the song specially for the soundtrack to the cartoon, which he has previously revealed is a "guilty pleasure". The musician reckons his cameo is "very rock and roll, even for a cartoon".

The movie is due to premiere on the Disney Channel on August 5, before being released on DVD on August 23.

Meanwhile, Slash revealed earlier this year that he had already started work on the follow up to his self-titled 2010 debut solo LP.

The guitarist has suggested the record will be released in March or April 2012.
