Slash has recorded the new theme tune for the game Angry Birds Space.

The track, which you can listen to below, features on the latest update of the app and plays on the game's title screen. Speaking about appearing on the game, Slash said: "Angry Birds found out that I was a big fan and reached out to me, I really jumped at the change to get involved." He also posted an image of his Angry Birds character on his Facebook page, which features his trademark top hat and black curly hair.

Slash is the latest musician to get involved with the puzzle game, which features animated birds and is the top selling paid-for app of all time. Last year, Green Day released their very own version of the game, which sees cartoon pig versions of the trio's members – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – as characters.

Meanwhile, the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury was made into an Angry Bird to mark the singer's birthday to raise money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust - Fighting Aids Worldwide.
