Slash played a special acoustic gig at the House of Commons in London yesterday (June 3).

The guitarist was invited to play the show by Mike Weatherley, the Conservative MP for Hove and Portslade. The show took place in the Terrace Bar as part of the Rock The House series and saw the former Guns N' Roses guitarist playing a five-song set, accompanied by vocalist Myles Kennedy, to 200 people. After the show, Slash was taken on an 'exclusive tour' of the Houses of Parliament.

Speaking about the event, Weatherley, who is Intellectual Property Adviser to the Prime Minister, commented: "It was a privilege to welcome such rock icons to Parliament and I am grateful for Slash and Myles’ support for my Rock the House competition. The gig was absolutely fantastic and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the launch of Slash's new album, 'World On Fire'. It was an honour to be in the first ever audience to hear their new record played live, along with the classics such as 'Sweet Child O' Mine', which certainly got the audience in fine spirits."

Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will release their new LP 'World on Fire' on September 15. The 17-track album is Slash's third solo album.

Slash played:

'Bent To Fly'
'Standing In The Sun'
'Starlight'
'Fall To Pieces'
'Sweet Child O' Mine'

Slash will play four UK arenas in November and December, appearing with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators plus guests.

Slash will play:

Manchester Phones 4U Arena (November 28)
Leeds First Direct Arena (November 29)
Birmingham LG Arena (December 1)
London Wembley Arena (December 2)
