POST-ROCK PARTY!

SLINT have played their first gig together in over a decade at the first of this year's ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES festivals.

The legendary Louisville, Kentucky post-hardcore outfit (contemporaries of Nirvana and Sonic
Youth[/url] and an influence on many others including figureheads of the post-rock scene Mogwai and Godspeed You Black Emperor!) reformed to curate the famous alternative-alternative festival at Camber Sands in Rye, Sussex.

The band have been pursuing their own projects on the intervening years, with guitarist David Pajo achieving the most high-profile success as a member of Peaches
and Billy Corgan's [/a].

Headlining the main stage on the second night (Saturday February
26) of the three-day festival, original band members Pajo, Britt Walford and Brian McMahon were onstage for an hour and a half's worth of material from both their seminal albums, 1989's 'Tweez' and 1991's 'Spiderland', with fans particularly pleased by the closing version of 'Spiderland's 'Good Morning Captain'.

Among the other Slint-chosen acts performing over the weekend were Mogwai, The Melvins, Matmos and Sons and Daughters. The latter were last-minute replacements for Red House Painters' Mark Kozelek.

The next All Tomorrow's Parties at Camber Sands takes place from April 22-24, curated by Vincent Gallo and featuring PJ Harvey, The [a] and [a][/a].
