LISBON LIONS!

The masked metallers join Metallica on the bill...

SLIPKNOT are the latest act to confirm to play ROCK IN RIO-LISBON.

The masked metallers join Metallica on June 4 as part of the Portugese extravaganza. Rock In Rio was, hence the name, originally held in Rio De Janeiro in 1985.

The band have spent the second half of 2003 in a Los Angeles studio with producer Rick Rubin recording the follow-up to ‘Iowa’.

Drummer Joey Jordison said of the album: "I know that all bands say that their ‘new’ record is gonna be the best, but in all sincerity this is gonna show all the new bands how it’s really done. We are coming back to reclaim the crown of the world’s most brutally honest and insane band."
