Slipknot's fourth album is to be titled 'All Hope Is Gone', and will be released August 26.

Frontman Corey Taylor told Billboard that the album would be the best body of work the band had recorded yet.

"We have made an album that will show the road behind, the road ahead, and where we are as men," he said. "I think it's the best thing I've ever made... It's controlled chaos that hits you right out of the gate."

'All Hope Is Gone' will be the band's fourth studio album, their first since 2004's 'Vol.3 - The Subliminal Verses'.
