Slipknot pull out of Reading And Leeds Festivals

Masked rockers withdraw after injury

Slipknot have pulled out of this weekend's (August 22-24) Reading And Leeds Festivals after drummer Joey Jordison broke his ankle.

The band issued a statement today (August 20) stating that they have withdrawn from the English festivals, as well as previously scheduled appearances at Austria's 2 Days A Week festival (28) and Germany's Area 4 festival (29).

In the statement the band said that Jordison had been advised to rest for four to six weeks following his injury.

Slipknot announced details of a UK tour, set to begin on December 1, earlier today. They are still scheduled to play the dates.

That's so awful, they are geniuses and Joey is one of the best drummers around at the moment. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
