Slipknot have cancelled two shows in the USA after their drummer Joey Jordison was hospitalised.
Fans of the masked rockers had already arrived at the band's scheduled show at the KISW Pain in The Grass event in Seattle on Saturday (August 22) when frontman Corey Taylor told the crowd that the show was off.
Last night's gig at the Kennewick Toyota Center was also pulled.
"There's a severe medical emergency," Taylor said in Seattle (watch fan footage of the speech below). "He's (Jordison) OK though. He sends his love to everyone here, and wants you to know he wishes he could be here."
The band plan to reschedule the cancelled shows.
"Hold on to your ticket stubs, because we are coming fucking back to do this," Taylor said. "We will be back in a couple of months to make this up. I want you all to send as much love as you can to Joey Jordison."
Jordison had hoped to recover for the Kennewick gig, a message on the band's official website, Slipknot1.com, explained, but the decision was made to pull the show after pre-gig set-up had already begun, reports Tri-cityherald.com.
