Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has expressed an interest in recording a dance album, saying he would call the album 'The Boogie Knight Rises'.

Taylor, who earlier this week expressed an interest in working with Justin Bieber, opened up about his ideas for venturing into dance music, saying that he wants to do something "funny and sarcastic" with music in the future. The Slipknot frontman also explained that any project would not follow the likes of Korn and embrace dubstep music, calling the genre "tired" and "bullshit"

Speaking to Revolver about his plans, Taylor said: "I want to do... something funny and sarcastic, and I'm not talking '70s dance (and) not that tired fucking dubstep bullshit. I want to make it something that's got that old school feel to it but with a modern twinge. Just get ridiculous with it. I've already got a name for myself - the Boogie Knight. And I want to call the first album 'The Boogie Knight Rises'."

Taylor will return to the UK in 2013 when Slipknot will headline Download Festival. The band will be joined on the bill by fellow headliners Rammstein and Iron Maiden as well as Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains and 30 Seconds To Mars. The masked metal band will headline the festival on June 14 and join Rammstein and Iron Maiden in topping the bill.

Speaking about the booking – which will be their second headline slot at the festival after their performance in 2009 – the band's Clown said: "We are extremely honoured to have been asked once again to headline the Download Festival. This most definitely will be an experience not to be missed. Every time we've played Download we have created memories."

He added: "It's always good to have the church of the Knot, the altar of the Knot, giving the sermon of the Knot to the congregation of the Knot, the culture of the Knot. This summer cannot come soon enough. Partake in the imagination or don't bitch."
