NEW ZWAN FROM CORGAN ON THE WAY

The former Smashing Pumpkins frontman gets ready to unveil Zwan...

Ex-Smashing Pumpkins frontman BILLY CORGAN's new band, ZWAN have almost completed their new album.

The group, which also features former Smashing Pumpkins Jimmy Chamberlin, Matthew Sweeney, the former singer/guitarist of Chavez, and bassist David Pajo, have played a number of live shows since the demise of the Smashing Pumpkins

Now, Corgan has said that work on the album is going well. In an Internet posting, he said: "The Zwan album is just about done and we are all very excited and proud that we were able to come together to make this possible. We've been having a lot of fun, working like wizards under red lights here in the studio.

"Everyone has worked very hard so we could make the first Zwan record a reality by the end of this year, and it looks like we will probably be playing some shows after Thanksgiving."
