Smashing Pumpkins enter studio

The reformed Smashing Pumpkins have entered the studio.

The band have announced on Smashingpumpkins.com that they are recording with The Darkness producer Roy Thomas Baker.

Baker has also worked with Queen and The Cars.

The album, which has no release date, will be the band's first studio effort since 2000's ’MACHINA/The Machines Of God’.

The line-up of the reunited Pumpkins is still unclear, with only leader Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin having confirmed their involvement.
