BILLY CORGAN BLOWS CHUNKS SAYS EX-MANAGER

OZZY OSBOURNE'S wife SHARON has quit as manager of THE SMASHING PUMPKINS because lead singer BILLY CORGAN "made her sick."

In a statement confirmed today by the Pumpkin's UK press office, Osbourne said that though she loved the job, after barely four months in the role she found Corgan's behaviour was literally harming her health!

She said: "It was with great pride and enthusiasm that I took on management of the Pumpkins back in October, but unfortunately I must resign due to medical reasons - Billy Corgan was making me sick!"

However, Osbourne wished the rest of the band well - JAMES IHA, MELISSA AUF DER MAUR and JIMMY CHAMBERLIN - and said she felt "saddened" that she would no longer be working with them.

She still continues as manager of her hell-raising husband Ozzy - a job that she's coped with for years.

There is currently no further comment forthcoming from the Pumpkin's label Hut, except to say that their forthcoming album 'MACHINA/THE MACHINES OF GOD' would still be released on February 28.

The Pumpkins have now gone through at least three managers during their career.
