Billy Corgan's reformed outfit gear up for a busy summer

Smashing Pumpkins will play this year’s Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona.

The reformed US grunge icons, who release their new album ‘Zeitgeist’ on July 7, head a massive list of bands confirmed for the event.

Other names confirmed include Wilco, The Good, The Bad & The Queen, , Klaxons and The Long Blondes.

This year’s festival takes place between May 31 and June 2 at the Parc Del Forum.

Smashing Pumpkins are also playing the following European festivals:

Nurburgring Rock Am Ring (June 2)
Nurnberg Rock Im Park (3)
Lisbon Festival (9)
Nickelsdorf Nova Rock (15)
Venice Heineken Festival (16)
Interlaken Greenfields Festival (17)


The band are also strongly tipped to perform at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds festivals in the UK this summer, though nothing has been officially announced.
