It'll take place August 22 at the Hard Rock

Smashing Pumpkins have announced details of a free show, set to take place August 22 at Hard Rock Live.

The show is part of the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush Concert Series, with tickets being allocated through the Summer Krush website.

The band’s Myspace page encouraged locals to apply for tickets, reminding fans that travel and accommodation is not included in the tickets,

Other acts scheduled to play during the series of shows include Nelly, Nas and Good Charlotte.

A free show - at least this way some people might turn up for Baldy and his travesty troupe to watch them step on the Pumpkins legacy like it was a cigarette stub.
