Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has started selling T-shirts bearing the phrase 'Fuck you Anderson Cooper', in retaliation to a CNN news reporter who mocked his Paws Magazine cat photoshoot.

Anderson Cooper, who presents the CNN news show Anderson Cooper 360, had made Corgan the subject of his news segment 'RidiCulist'. During the section, Anderson mocked the frontman for his photoshoot for Paws Magazine in which the grunge singer is seen smiling and cuddling a pair of cats and also for his recent furniture shop commercial.

Retaliating to the snub, Corgan has now started selling T-shirts with the phrase 'Fuck you Anderson Cooper' and a picture of two cats in bowties.

The merchandise was sold at a Smashing Pumpkins show at Chicago's Thalia Hall on Wednesday (November 26), with all proceeds reportedly going to charity.

Meanwhile, Smashing Pumpkins recently released new song 'Drum + Fife', taken from their forthcoming album 'Monuments To An Elegy'.

The full album is set for release on December 8.

The 'Monuments To An Elegy' tracklisting is:
'Tiberius'
'Being Beige'
'Anaise!'
'One and All (We Are)'
'Run2Me'
'Drum + Fife'
'Monuments'
'Dorian'
'Anti-Hero'
