Rapper faces a three-year jail term
Rapper Snoop Dogg has been charged with one felony count of knowingly possessing a dangerous weapon.
The star was arrested in September at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, after allegedly trying to board a plane while carrying a 21-inch collapsible police baton in a computer case.
If convicted, he faces a potential maximum of three years in prison, reports Hollywood News.
Last month, the star, whose bail was set at $150,000, was arrested a second time at California's Bob Hope Airport on suspicion of possessing marijuana and a handgun, according to police reports.
After being taken into custody, the rapper was freed on a $35,000 bail bond, and is scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on that charge on December 12.
