Rapper reaches agreement with Priority Records

Snoop Dogg has settled a lawsuit with his former record compnay.

The rapper has agreed on fees and advances on a recording contract with Priority Records, which stretches back to 1998.

The 36-year-old sued the company in November 2006 over allegations that Priority did not consult with him before releasing a greatest hits CD.

The rapper also claimed breach of contract and alleged the company owed him fees of $2 million, reports the Press Association.

Priority's lawyer David Steinberg said: "I don't believe a settlement would have been reached unless both sides were happy."

Snoop Dogg is currently fighting a case with the UK Border Agency over a decision to allow him back into the country.
