Snoop Dogg has revealed he canvasses David Beckham's opinion when he records new albums.

The rapper told the Sun that new material has to get the England and Los Angeles Galaxy footballer's seal of approval before he will sign it off.

"D-Becks is one of my guys. Whenever I make a record and get to the last few stages I call him in and give him a copy so he can hear it before it's done," he said.

The rapper added: "The Beckham family are my family too. They're automatic, straight to the top."

Earlier this week, Snoop Dogg hung out with another footballer - Beckham's England team mate Rio Ferdinand - as part of a community project and gig in Manchester.

He also revealed plans for an unlikely cameo appearance on TV soap Coronation Street.
