Snoop Dogg's probation for a 2006 drug arrest has been ended early.

The rapper was originally sentenced to 60 months probation back in 2007 after a police search of his car allegedly found cocaine, marijuana and a gun following a performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

But yesterday (May 26) an LA judge approved his request for early termination of his probation - 11 months ahead of schedule.

His probation prevented him from travelling and touring around the world. In 2007, he was denied entry to Australia, whose officials claimed that he "isn't the sort of bloke" that should be in their country.

His attorney Donald Etra told TMZ.com the star was "pleased" about the ruling.

The rapper recently admitted that David Beckham is one of the first people he tests out new songs on.

Dogg was also recently linked to the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, along with DJ Tim Westwood.
