Snoop Dogg dresses up for debut Snoop Lion video 'La, La, La'

Snoop Dogg has unveiled a video for the track 'La, La, La' - scroll down to watch it.

The video is the first that Snoop – who recently changed his name to Snoop Lion – has put out after his change in direction from rapper to reggae artist. It sees Snoop dressed as a lion strolling around a jungle surrounded by children dressed as wild animals. He asks them if they prefer Snoop Dogg or his new alias Snoop Lion.

"A lot of kids, a lot of costumes, you know lion in the jungle, just having a good time," Snoop told MTV. "A bunch of kids dressed in costume, dancin' shakin' and bakin', makin' it move to the music and the sounds of Snoop Lion."

Snoop Lion recently said that he doesn't have to justify his change in direction, as he has complete freedom in his creative direction.

His first reggae album 'Reincarnation' in due for release in February, and will also feature a documentary explaining his new direction. "If I just drop this music, it leaves room for questioning," he said. "You wouldn't understand the whole journey or the transformation. When I allow you to see the movie, to go on the journey with me, to see exactly why I'm the Lion."

Snoop Lion recently played his first live show in Toronto, Canada which featured cuts from Bob Marley's 'Could You Be Loved' and 'Iron Lion Zion'.
