Latitude opens its doors

Snow Patrol, Mogwai and Antony And The Johnsons are to headline a new UK festival this summer.

Latitude has been put together by Mean Fiddler, the organisation behind The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals and Glastonbury. It takes place on the Henham Park Estate, Southwold, on the coast of Suffolk between July 14-16.

The main arena will feature three live stages for music. There will also be literature readings, performance poetry, comedy, Guilty Pleasures DJ sets, cabaret, art, film and theatre.

And, like Glastonbury, there will be a Leftfield Stage, providing its usual mix of performance and politics.

Weekend tickets are £95, with day tickets £40.
