Snow Patrol cancel US tour Snow Patrol Tickets

The band postpone their remaining dates

Snow Patrol cancel US tour

Snow Patrol have cancelled their entire US tour after singer Gary Lightbody failed to recover from laryingitis.

As previously reported on NME.COM, several dates in Atlanta, Washington and New York had been rescheduled for later this month.

But Lightbody is still suffering with laryngitis and the band have been forced to cancel the remainder of their US tour.

A statement from the singer on the band's website read: "My vocal chords don’t seem to have heeled at all. The polyps are still there and my singing voice is extremely weak.

"I’m so sorry about this but I’ve been advised by the doctor to not do any shows for a month. I may also need surgery but the initial suggestion from the doc is for me to rest at home for that time and see how I am in a few weeks.

"I hope you all understand that if I could do this tour right now I would but I’m worried to go against doctor’s advice would lead to serious, even irreversible, problems further down the line."

Lightbody confirmed that the band will reschedule all their US dates for September.

All tickets will still be valid for the new dates which will be announced in the next couple of days.
