Leona 'X Factor' remains number one in UK Snow Patrol Tickets

But Snow Patrol profit from new chart rules

Leona 'X Factor' remains number one in UK

'X Factor' winner Leona Lewis has started 2007 as she ended 2006 - at the top of the UK singles chart.

The singer's cover of Kelly Clarkson's 'A Moment Like This' has maintained its peak position for a third straight week. The highest brand new entry on the chart comes from Eric Prydz. His reworking of Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall (part II)', renamed 'Proper Education enters at Two. U2 also score a big entry moving in at Four with 'Window In The Skies'.

The first big act to profit from new chart rules allowing downloads to count on the regular top 40, even after the physical single has been deleted, are Snow Patrol. Their track 'Chasing Cars' re-enters the top 10 at Nine, many weeks after it was officially no longer for physical sale.

And ironically Gnarls Barkley, the band who made history by becoming the first act to get to number one on downloads alone, also re-enter the top 30 at 30 with 'Crazy'.

The Top Ten is:

1. Leona Lewis - 'A Moment Like This'
2. Eric Prydz Vs Floyd - 'Proper Education'
3. Take That - 'Patience'
4. U2 - 'Window In The Skies'
5. Akon ft Eminem - 'Smack That'
6. Booty Luv - 'Boogie 2nite'
7. Cascada - 'Truly Madly Deeply'
8. Sharam - 'Patt (Party All The Time)'
9. Snow Patrol - 'Chasing Cars'
10. Chris Cornell - 'You Know My Name'

Take That remain top of the album chart for the sixth week running with comeback LP 'Beautiful World', but beneath them there is much jockeying for position from previously released records. Amy Winehouse surges from 16 to two with 'Back To Black' and The Fratellis see 'Costello Music' jump from 12 to six.
