Gary Lightbody previews new song
Snow Patrol star's solo project showcased on Radio 1
Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody has unveiled a new song on BBC Radio 1.
The song, ‘Black And Silver’, by Lightbody’s side project Listen…Tanks!, was played by the singer when he covered on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show this week (January 10).
Listen…Tanks! is a collaboration between Lightbody and U2 and Bloc Party producer Jacknife Lee, who also produced Snow Patrol’s last two albums, ‘Final Straw’ and ‘Eyes Open’.
The track features a heavily processed arrangement, pitching an ominous multi-tracked vocal backing against glockenspiels and Lightbody’s vocal.
It is as yet unconfirmed when the band will officially release any of their material.
