Snow Patrol thrill at Live Earth
Indie megastars continue London leg of climate change marathon
Two years after playing Live 8, then on the cusp of international fame, the band returned victorious for Al Gore’s climate change benefit.
They were introduced by 'Friday Night Project' host Alan Carr.
Toward the end of a three-song set drawn exclusively from recent album 'Eyes Open', frontman Gary Lightbody addressed the crowd, saying: "Is everyone having a good day? Everyone’s looking forward to seeing Spinal Tap? We are. Have a great rest of the day everybody. That’s us, short and sweet!"
Snow Patrol played:
'Open Your Eyes'
'Shut Your Eyes'
'Chasing Cars'
Live Earth continues in London with a double act of Damien Rice and David Gray on next, and performances coming from Bloc Party, Kasabian and Madonna among others.
Stay tuned to NME.COM for reports live from Wembley Stadium all day.
