New David Holmes song will feature on the release

Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody has offered his patronage to a new unsigned bands compilation, writing sleeve notes for the release.

'Carling Supports: The Oh Yeah Sessions' will go on sale on April 21, and features new Northern Irish bands as well as DJ David Holmes, who has offered up a new track, 'McCready Rides Again'.

The album will also feature 'Align The Planets', a song by Portadown's In Case Of Fire - the title track of the band's forthcoming new album.

The album is being released to raise funds for the Oh Yeah music centre – a project to build a dedicated music centre for Belfast.
