Snow Patrol join fourth Versus Cancer gig line-up

Snow Patrol have been added to this year's Versus Cancer charity gig, organised by Andy Rourke of The Smiths.

They join previously announced acts, including James' Tim Booth, Jim Glennie and Larry Gott, New Order's Peter Hook, Rourke and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra & Joe Duddell for the show which takes place at MEN Arena in Manchester on December 12.

The band will perform a set on the night with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Proceeds from the gig will go to local cancer charities in Manchester. See Versuscancer.org for more information.
