Snow Patrol post comeback single 'Called Out In The Dark' online - audio

Band to release track as part of an EP in September

Snow Patrol have unveiled their comeback single 'Called Out In The Dark'.

The track will be the first single taken from their upcoming sixth studio album, which will be the follow-up to 2008's 'A Hundred Million Suns'.

It will be released as a single track and as part of an EP on September 4. Listen to the song by scrolling down and clicking below.

The band recorded the song in Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles with producer Jacknife Lee, who has worked on their previous three albums.

Drummer Jonny Quinn recently revealed that the band were inspired by being outdoors on the new record.

These days, it's better to be out somewhere in the open, by the sea, he explained. I live by the sea in Ireland and I find that's the most inspiring time, sitting with a guitar on the beach, but we write on the tourbus, in dressing rooms, in the studio and in phone boxes, because no one is using them because everyone has mobile phones.
