FACE FACES UP TO CRIME

Face is slapped with a 12-month community rehabilitation order...

So Solid Crew MC FACE has escaped a prison term over a serious driving offence.

Face, real name Jason Moore, was slapped with a 12-month community rehabilitation order by magistrates at London's Camberwell Green Magistrates Court this morning (May 16). He had pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without a licence at a hearing on April 24.

District Judge Susan Green warned him if he broke his driving ban again, he would probably be jailed. He had feared a six-month sentence.

Face, 23, was stopped by police on April 18 this year while driving near his home in Brixton, south London.

A licence check during the routine stop revealed he had been disqualified from driving on March 30 last year until September 29, 2002 after being caught driving without insurance.

Face told police at the time he thought his ban had expired in January this year.
