So Solid Crew star cleared

So Solid Crew star Romeo has been cleared of attacking a clubber in a London car park.

The rapper – real name Marvin Dawkins – and a friend were accused of beating up Ejay Armstrong in 2004.

Romeo had gone to help friends who had become involved in a row after a night out in a Leicester Square club, the Old Bailey heard.

According to BBC News, the judge formally found both the So Solid Crew member and Thomas Engola not guilty after the jury failed to reach a verdict.

Both defendants had denied wounding with intent to cause GBH and the prosecution said it will not be seeking a further trial.
