Solange hit with tax bill just days after wedding

Debt was accumulated between 2010 and 2012

Solange Knowles was reportedly hit with a tax lien just three days after her wedding to video director Alan Ferguson.

According to TMZ, the singer owes the State of California $55,000, with the debt stemming from a two-year period between 2010 and 2012.

Knowles has since taken to Twitter to respond to the reports. "Well thanks for letting me know," she posted wryly before adding a "shiiiiiiiiiit."
The singer married Ferguson at a wedding in New Orleans last month, with her big sister Beyoncé acting as a bridesmaid. Also in attendance was brother-in-law Jay Z, who Solange famously engaged in a heated argument with in an elevator last May.

Ferguson, 51, has directed videos for Beyoncé and Jay Z in the past, as well as the likes of Katy Perry, Natasha Bedingfield and Nelly Furtado. It is Knowles' second marriage, following her divorce from Daniel Smith in 2007.
